- Scorched Earth takes ARK players to an entirely new land, composed of six unique, desert themed biomes – dunes, high desert, mountains, canyons, badlands and oasis – each with their own aesthetic and ecosystem. Littered with ruins, geysers, and intricate ancient cave systems, survivors will find a whole new frontier to explore and master.

Scorched Earth was released on September 1, 2016 for the PC version of ARK and for Xbox One at the initial price of $19.99 USD. It was released on PS4 on December 6 for the same price.

So you got your DLC and you’re logging into Scorched to get some drops? You will be immersed in a complete desert biome rather than an island surrounded by water. Due to the fast we are sweating it off in the desert water collection becomes a more challenge. Grab your Canteens! Tame your Water Bugs! Natural water sources are uncommon on Scorched Earth.
Scorched Earth can be a struggle to most people, it’s just too hot out there for us to survive. If you’re like me then you might have contracted Heat Stroke from too much exposure to the desert. Heat stroke is much like being drunk and blurs your screen so be careful. Also the naturally harsh environment damages generators and structures.
Have you made it so far? See it’s not too bad. Lets get more complicated with Desert Drops and the loot you can receive from them. Desert Drops on Scorched Earth are much like the Islands Deep Sea Loot Crates but instead of them being under water they are in the deep desert.
